Volkswagen sees expanded its model range to our northern neighbor with the presentation of Golf SportWagen Alltrack in the New York Auto Show 2015, which incidentally is celebrating its 115th anniversary.
Compared to the Golf SportWagen this Alltrack version in addition to the system 4Motion four-wheel -Traction in the distance to the ground is increased almost an inch also incorporates trim on the fenders and side skirts and bumpers new design.
During normal driving mode, the Golf SportWagen Alltrack is operated only with the front axle to provide better fuel economy, but when the system senses wheel slip, up to 50 percent of torque can be sent to the wheels you back. Moreover, a lock equipped electronic differential on each axle to improve handling of low adhesion surfaces.
According to Volkswagen Golf SportWagen this Alltrack will be released in 2016 as a 2017 model and it is worth remembering that gave its world premiere last year at the Paris Auto Show.
